St. Francis MRI Replacement
Location: St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, DEInfectious control, as in most hospital projects, was a high priority for this project. However, this was even more of a challenge due to the fact we had to remove a portion of the exterior wall to enable the equipment to be boomed in from the street level. The project consisted of renovations to an existing MRI room to upgrade the facility to new high-tech standards. This included new wall and shielding requirements and a dedicated cooling system for that room. During the project, the hospital was renting an MRI unit that was located in a special trailer. This project was very time sensitive, since the rented equipment had another site to go to. The project was completed on time, saving the hospital from incurring down time due to not having an MRI unit.
