Christiana Care Health Services Hemodialysis Unit
Location: Christiana Hospital, Newark, DEThis project involved removal of approx 5,000 sq ft of office space to allow for the installation of a new 14-bed Hemodialysis unit. Large portions of the concrete floor on which the unit was built had to be removed to allow for new drain and water lines that would serve the new patient beds. The project included closing in an existing outdoor courtyard to make room for 7 additional dialysis stations. Due to infection control guidelines, all of the flooring in the area was vinyl sheet flooring with heat-welded seams and integral base.
