Verizon Generator Replacement
Location: Wilmington, DEThis project consisted of removing two existing turbine generators, and their housings, from the rooftop at Verizon’s main office in Delaware at 901 Tatnall Street. The turbines were replaced with two diesel generators that were preinstalled in a 2-piece building enclosure. The combined weight of both generators, including the housing, was 44 tons. A 500 ton crane was used to set the units on the rooftop. Fuel lines were run from the rooftop to the lower level of the building to feed the new generators.
